Qualifications
Attend an accredited college or university to pursue a degree in engineering, nursing, or pre-medical
Academically in the top 25% of the senior class Is a good citizen who shows leadership qualities and has good moral character
Must show leadership qualities by meeting two of the following three criteria: • Captain or co-captain of a recognized varsity sport • An officer of a high school sanctioned organization or club • An Eagle Boy Scout or a Gold Award Girl Scout
Attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school or program
Demonstrate an active role in the school or within the Muncy community
Preference shall be given to applicants who demonstrate qualities that are reflective of Dan, which includes: leadership and/or serving others, showing a positive attitude when working with others, is kind, humble, and dedicated to the betterment of the Muncy community
Attend an accredited institution of higher education
Plans to pursue major coursework in the area of international studies, including but not limited to international affairs, foreign languages, overseas exchange programs, multicultural studies, or related areas
Attend, full-time, an accredited institution of higher education
Exhibit community involvement
Other than a strong potential for success, such factors as class rank and grade point average will not be criteria in making a selection unless such factors are needed to distinguish between multiple potential candidates
Although the scholarship is not based on need, it may be a considering factor in the selection process
Attend an accredited college, university or trade school in Pennsylvania
Must be ranked in the top 40% of the graduating class
Must demonstrate financial need
Preference given to applicants who have participated in at least one extracurricular activity
Secondary preference given to applicants who are or whose parents/guardians are customers of Journey Bank. This is not a requirement to be considered for the award.
Graduating student at a high school (public, private, parochial, or home-schooled) located in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder or Union County
Attend an accredited college, university or vocational school that offers a two (2) year or four (4) degree or certification program
Applicants must complete an online application and answer an additional essay question that is determined by FCFP staff on a year-to-year basis
Other than the criteria previously identified, such factors as class rank and grade point average will not be criteria in making a selection unless in the judgement of the selection committee such factors are needed to distinguish between multiple potential candidates
