      • Applicants must complete an online application and answer an additional essay question that is determined by FCFP staff on a year-to-year basis
      • Other than the criteria previously identified, such factors as class rank and grade point average will not be criteria in making a selection unless in the judgement of the selection committee such factors are needed to distinguish between multiple potential candidates

      • Preference given to a student who intends to study construction technology with a concentration in carpentry or construction management
      • Secondary preference given to a student pursuing a degree in architectural engineering

      Qualifications

      • Applicants must be a graduate of a private or public high school or an accredited home school or cyber school program who resides in Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Tioga, Snyder, Sullivan, or Union County
      • Applicants must be accepted or currently enrolled into either a full-time accredited undergraduate degree program or accredited technical/trade school and have a demonstrated financial need
      • Applicants should be well rounded students and destined to do well in their chosen field, as demonstrated by their work ethic and/or participation in community and school activities

      Preference shall be given as follows:

      • Applicants that are a graduating senior(s) from Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Tioga, Snyder, Sullivan, or Union County pursuing a career in aviation, including but not limited to technical certification as an aircraft & power plant mechanic (A&P), an avionics technician, pilot training leading to advanced certifications, air traffic controller or aeronautical engineer
      • Priority shall be given to a student who resides in Lycoming County
      • Applicants that have graduated from a Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Tioga, Snyder, Sullivan, or Union County private or public school, or an accredited home school or cyber school currently pursuing a career in aviation, including but not limited to technical certification as an aircraft & power plant mechanic (A&P), an avionics technician, pilot training leading to advanced certifications, air traffic controller or aeronautical engineer
      • Priority shall be given to a student who resides in Lycoming County
      • Previously awarded scholarship recipients may reapply for up to three (3) additional years
      • If in any year there are no applicants who are pursuing a career in aviation, preference shall be given to a graduating senior from a Lycoming County high school

      Applicants may include:

      • Young adults who, as a result of legal offenses as juveniles or young adults, have come to the attention of the Lycoming County’s Probation Department
      • Young adults as identified by the Lycoming County Reentry Service Center
      • Young adults as identified by the Lycoming County Children & Youth Services Agency
      • Clients of the Nurse Family Partnership
      • In addition, young adults graduating from a Lycoming County High School who have been identified with at-risk behavior in their school district throughout their secondary education (grades 6 through 12) may be considered
