Attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school or program
Recipient shall be a student who has performed well but who has, in the opinion of the teachers and administrators, unrealized potential for academic success
Should not receive more than two other awards or scholarships at graduation
Attend an accredited institution of higher education
Plans to pursue major coursework in the area of international studies, including but not limited to international affairs, foreign languages, overseas exchange programs, multicultural studies, or related areas
Attend an accredited college, university or trade school in Pennsylvania
Must be ranked in the top 40% of the graduating class
Must demonstrate financial need
Preference given to applicants who have participated in at least one extracurricular activity
Secondary preference given to applicants who are or whose parents/guardians are customers of Journey Bank. This is not a requirement to be considered for the award.
If no viable candidates fit the criteria, then students attending an accredited four-year institution of higher education with an outstanding academic record and a demonstrated talent in music or drama may be considered
Attend an accredited four-year college/university or other educational institution
Plans to major in physical therapy
If no viable candidates fit the criteria, then students who plan to major in occupational therapy, nursing or other related health care profession (in that order of preference) may be considered
Must have resided in Montoursville Area School District a minimum of three (3) years prior to graduation
Preference to a student who has not received other scholarships and demonstrates financial need
