Nonprofits invited to apply by November 1 for projects beginning in 2027
First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) is inviting nonprofits to apply for three fall grant opportunities supporting community life in Lewisburg, economic development in Lycoming County and positive youth development across five counties.
With $96,100 available, these opportunities support local organizations as they respond to community needs and create opportunities for residents. Applications for all three grant cycles are due November 1, 2026, for programs or projects scheduled to begin in 2027.
“FCFP is excited to offer a variety of grantmaking programs to our local nonprofits, especially funding opportunities that address specific needs or enhance neighborhoods in the community,” said Betty Gilmour, FCFP’s Director of Grantmaking. “These current grant cycles offer nonprofits a more strategic approach to funding requests, possibly allowing for greater success in receiving dollars for their program.”
Lindig Lewisburg Foundation Fund
The Lindig Lewisburg Foundation Fund has $5,500 available for projects benefiting the religious, charitable, educational, cultural, recreational or economic welfare of the Borough of Lewisburg.
Established by the late Charles F. Lindig through his estate, the fund supports civic projects that benefit borough residents. Organizations outside Lewisburg may apply only if a major function of their program or project serves the borough. Organizations that have received funding from this fund within the past five years are not eligible.
Lycoming Economic Development Foundation Fund In Memory Of Joseph L. Rider
This fund has $65,600 available for community-based economic development that strengthens Lycoming County’s economy and enhances residents’ quality of life.
Created through a partnership between the Lycoming Economic Development Foundation, formerly The Lycoming Foundation, and FCFP, the fund supports nonprofits serving Lycoming County residents. Eligible requests may address job creation or retention; workforce development, particularly for individuals with low incomes; public infrastructure and facilities supporting business expansion or new industry; environmentally sustainable business approaches; community revitalization; or tourism.
Century Fund for Strong Neighborhoods
One $25,000 grant is available for an initiative supporting Positive Youth Development for adolescents ages 13 to 17 in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder or Union counties.
Positive Youth Development focuses on building young people’s strengths, leadership and ability to shape their own futures. Programs should engage teens as active partners in their development.
Established in 2016 through FCFP’s 100th anniversary campaign, the Century Fund for Strong Neighborhoods supports civic, economic development, recreational and youth initiatives throughout the five-county region.
