Grantmaking That Strengthens Communities

Grantmaking is at the heart of FCFP’s mission. Through competitive grant programs, donor-advised funds, scholarships, and designated giving, FCFP directs charitable dollars where they are needed most.

Each year, FCFP partners with nonprofits across North Central Pennsylvania to address immediate needs while also investing in long-term solutions. Grantmaking priorities evolve alongside the community, ensuring support for:

  • Initiatives that enhance quality of life and community vitality
  • Essential services that help individuals and families thrive
  • Programs that strengthen education and workforce development

Special Anniversary Grantmaking

FCFP’s birthday year will feature enhanced competitive grant opportunities that reflect both the scale of the milestone and the foundation’s deep regional roots. These special grant programs underscore FCFP’s belief that community voices and local knowledge are essential to meaningful impact.

Two $110,000 Field of Interest Grants

These $110,000 Field of Interest Grants will support organizations serving Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties. In the spirit of community-driven philanthropy, two groups of 110 community members will be invited to help select the two grant recipients.

Lycoming County Birthday Grants

Lycoming County Birthday Grants will award multiple grants ranging from $250,000 to $500,000 to nonprofits serving Lycoming County residents—honoring FCFP’s origins in Williamsport and its long-standing commitment to the county.

Fundraising That Fuels Impact

In celebration of its 110th anniversary, FCFP has set ambitious goals to expand reach and deepen engagement over the next five years. These goals include:

  • Securing 110 new fund commitments to support long-term community needs
  • Growing annual giving to the Friends of the Foundation Fund
  • Increasing membership in Pearls with a Passion, FCFP’s all-women’s giving society

FCFP will also participate in Will Week 2026, promoting the PA Giving Pledge and encouraging residents to commit at least 5% of their wealth to support nonprofits. As part of this initiative, partnering attorneys will offer discounted estate planning services, making planned giving more accessible across the region.
