Community generosity helps 115 students take the next step toward their educational and career goals.

The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025–2026 scholarship awards, investing $403,912 in educational opportunities for 115 students across north central Pennsylvania.

Through 132 scholarships established by generous individuals, families, businesses, and organizations, students from Bradford, Columbia, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, and Union counties will receive support as they pursue higher education, career training, and professional goals.

“Over 600 students from 34 school districts completed a common application with hopes of being considered for any number of awards,” said Betty Gilmour, Director of Grantmaking. “FCFP’s scholarship program is highly competitive, and the organization commends the time and effort the students put forth in their submissions. Reviewing their recent accomplishments in academics, the arts, sports, volunteerism, and in the workforce gives FCFP’s selection committees confidence that the students recommended for an award are well-prepared for higher education and on the road to great success.”

FCFP’s scholarship program is made possible through permanently endowed funds established by community members who believe in the power of education. Because these funds are invested for long-term growth, scholarships can be awarded year after year, creating opportunities for generations of students.

This year, scholarships were awarded to graduating seniors from throughout the region, as well as students continuing their education through non-traditional pathways. Eligibility and award criteria vary by fund and reflect the unique interests and priorities of each donor.

“Every scholarship represents a donor’s belief in the transformational power of education,” said Jennifer D. Wilson, President and CEO. “At FCFP, we are privileged to bridge philanthropy and opportunity – connecting generous benefactors with students whose talents and aspirations will shape the future.”
