Star Party

There is something special about experiencing Rider Park after sunset.

Join us for a Star Party and spend the evening exploring the night sky with dedicated amateur astronomers. You’ll receive a guided introduction to what is visible overhead, have an opportunity to look through telescopes, ask questions, and catch a glimpse of the waxing crescent moon.

Whether you already know your way around the night sky or are simply curious about what is above us, this is a chance to learn, connect, and experience the park from a new perspective.

Please arrive between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m. to allow time to walk up and get settled on the lawn.

Bring:

• A chair or blanket
• Snacks
• A red flashlight, if you have one

Red glow sticks will also be available to help everyone move safely while preserving their night vision.
