Star Party at Rider Park
Join us for a mesmerizing evening under the stars🌠 Dive into the wonders of the night sky with an engaging guided introduction, gaze through powerful telescopes, and connect with passionate amateur astronomers. Arrive between 7:45-8:15 to get comfy on the lawn—don’t forget your chairs, blankets, snacks, and red flashlights! Our adventure kicks off at 8:30 when we bid farewell to the sun. Although the twilight lingers for about an hour, we’ll begin with a captivating discussion about the seasonal transformations in the night sky, helping you navigate the stellar landscape as the night unfolds.
Afterward, feel free to meander between telescopes and ask our experts any burning questions!
Please park in the designated lot and stroll up to the picnic pavilion. Our friendly team will be waiting at the main gate to ensure you’re equipped with red lights, and we’ll hand out red glow sticks to enhance the experience.
