STEP Establishes Endowment Fund with FCFP

STEP Endowment at FCFP

Lycoming-Clinton Counties Commission for Community Action (STEP), Inc. and the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) are pleased to announce the creation of the STEP Community Collaboration Endowment Fund at FCFP. STEP created the fund with $25,000 raised over the last year as a permanent funding source in which a portion of the fund’s investment income is granted back to STEP in support of their programs and projects, while the fund’s principal is protected for future charitable interest.

“The STEP Community Collaboration Pathway Endowment is the fourth of six endowments we plan to create. With the support of so many faithful donors, we are investing into the future of STEP programming by providing a long-term financial resource and relying less on local, state, and federal funding,” said Jim Plankenhorn, President & CEO of STEP. “The creation of these funds requires a tremendous amount of work and dedication. Huge credit goes out to the volunteers, current and retired staff, and the many supporters of STEP’s mission.”

“The Foundation is honored STEP places their confidence in our ability to steward their endowments,” said Jennifer D. Wilson, FCFP President & CEO.  We are grateful for nonprofit organizations that realize the impact they can have on their community in perpetuity.”
